As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I take an integrative approach to counseling. I see the client as a unique individual, and I purpose to meet them wherever they are at. This is called Client Centered Therapy. I enjoy working with Adults, Couples, and teens.
As the therapeutic alliance increases, I find it helpful to incorporate tools used from Family Systems Theory. I believe we are all products of our environments and many of our beliefs and behavior patterns, whether healthy or unhealthy have been reinforced from experiences in our earliest relationships.
Through greater awareness, these once overlooked patterns, become clearer. A client will find satisfaction in being able to make sense of what has felt frustrating, or even hurtful, and then will learn to incorporate new tools for self care, healthier relationships, and personal goal setting.
