I am an experienced clinical psychotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor with an MSc from the Metanoia Institute. My private counselling and psychotherapy practice is in Guildford where I see individuals and couples. I offer short and longer term therapy as required. We all experience challenging times in our lives: it takes bravery and honesty to accept that you need a guiding-hand to help you through this. I will work alongside you to help identify the solutions to your problems, drawing on all my experience to offer an approach to suit you as an individual.
I work with integrity and compassion to support you as we explore - gently and at your own pace - the issues that are troubling you. Our work together will enable you to acknowledge and fully understand difficulties in your past so that you can fulfill your current needs and desires and face the future with confidence and a sense of security.
I work with a wide range of psychological and emotional issues. Shorter therapy can be extremely effective for many presenting issues, longer term for more complex issues. Working as Samaritan for 10 years, I am experienced in addressing suicidal thoughts and self-harm. I have found a lack of self-esteem lies at the heart of many problems.
