I work from a collaborative and client centered stance; facilitating individuals, couples and families towards a greater understanding of their emotional responses and needs. As we become aware of ourselves and our needs, we have a better sense of where to make change. My specialties include Maternal Mental Health (pregnancy/postpartum), Substance Use & Addiction, relationship struggles and Hold Me Tight Workshops.

Mental health is the ability to deal with our problems. I bring over 30 years expertise and specialized training to help you deal with most of life's challenges and relationships. I teach clients to effect change in anxiety, interpersonal relationships, loss, illness, abuse issues, shyness, family conflicts, intimacy and sexual issues and self confidence. I treat addictions which I see as unwanted or compulsive behaviors. I work with both individuals and couples with relationship and sexual issues and adults/parents with family issues. As I age myself l like to work with aging related issues, including sexual and adult children.

Angini is of Indo-Caribbean background, which has given her a unique perspective on the challenges that come with navigating different cultural norms and experiences. This background has also influenced Angini's approach to therapy, which prioritizes empathy, understanding, and cultural sensitivity.

My over 20 years of experience in mental health and substance use and settings informs my work. I work with people impacted by their mental health, specifically anxiety, depression, ADHD and people who hear voices. I also support people to better their understanding of substance use in their life through harm reduction. With my extensive front-line social work experience, I support front-line workers navigating grief, loss and burnout. Finally, as someone from the 2SLGBTQ community who is non-binary and queer, I can support and bring lived experiences to the topics of coming out and navigating a gender journey.

I became a therapist because, just like you, I am human and have had my fair share of battles. It took a long time for me to get to where I am today.
