The primary focus is comprehensive therapy for substance use or addiction, including behavioural problems and related con-current disorders such as ADHD, Anxiety & Depression. Clients include individuals and families struggling with the effect of substance abuse / addiction(s) on their lives. I am a Ontario Registered Psychotherapist, and hold both Canadian & American International Addiction Counselling Certificates.
I am currently seeing clients in-office or over secure video. A primary focus is in developing an Individualized treatment plan, with an emphasis on education & understanding both the nature & causes of addiction. As well identifying your core issues, defining realistic goals with accountability without guilt & shame. We will reclaim you authentic you!
I work with both harm reduction or a complete abstinence model. Approximately 40-60% of individuals that struggle with addiction, have ADHD. I have worked with neurodivergent individuals for over twenty years, people with ADHD who also struggle with substance abuse issues. I support clients in their efforts to obtain a diagnosis.
