Welcome! I work with career-minded people who struggle with Adult ADHD, Anxiety (Generalized, Social, Panic) , and Depression. Many clients are in high-pressure or creative fields, and feel they could be doing better, but struggle to get there on their own. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where you can explore concerns and learn tools to cope. I also work with couples who feel stuck, trapped, and frustrated with how things are going and have a desire to make things better. I feel fortunate to have worked in many settings that uplift 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC populations.

I work with both individuals and couples.
I believe that we each have an innate wisdom and a core self or spirit that strives for joy, peace and fulfillment. Despite this, we can often become overwhelmed with difficult emotions and feel stuck in ways of being which do not serve us. I embrace the learnings from my Spiritual Psychotherapy & Spiritual Direction training as well as my intuitive energy training. I adopt an eclectic approach which combines traditional talk therapy with spiritual practices . I view healing as a journey of self-discovery and increased awareness which takes one to a deeper place of understanding of self and greater mind-body spirit connectedness

Change starts with the relationship that we form in the therapy and then continues by building useful skills in and outside of our sessions. In practice this means that I fit best with clients who are interested in (1) understanding more about their thoughts and emotions while also (2) taking clear steps to improve their mental and physical well-being. My job as the therapist is to provide a warm and caring environment to support the client in this process.

With couples, I lean on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which draws on attachment theory to stabilize the self and your relationship.
I support both individuals and couples with problematic relational patterns, causing disconnection and distress. If life experiences feel overwhelming, or your relationship is unhappy or in crisis, my role as a therapist is to help you make sense of the past and explore how these challenges contribute to current day emotional reactions and insecurities in personal or professional relationships. This awareness, along with our work together, will be a catalyst for change and motivate you to feel more alive and hopeful in the present and encourage you to experience less fear of the future.

For over ten years, I have worked with individuals experiencing: Anxiety and Depression, PTSD, Personality Disorders, Addictions and relationship problems.
Have you been feeling stuck in a cycle you can’t seem to break out of? Do you experience overwhelming feelings of anxiety, depression, frustration, anger, grief, shame or rejection? Are these feelings negatively impacting your relationships and causing unwanted conflict? Do you feel like a victim of trauma? You may think to yourself: “what’s wrong with me, why can’t I get over this?” Self-blaming or avoiding uncomfortable thoughts and feelings may provide temporary relief but will create long-term challenges. Thankfully, there’s a way to change your narrative and experience mental, emotional and relational freedom.

Building self-compassion for when we are "stuck" in the lows, reaching out to others, and reframing our perceptions of an issue are all parts of the process that serve to improve one's relationship to themselves.
Therapy is not so much as "what do you need from me", but rather, "what do you need from you?" Who would you like to be for yourself? My humanistic background compels me to believe that clients often carry potential for growth that may be nurtured by the therapeutic relationship. While the specifics of clients' issues may vary, ultimately, many of us wish to be heard and understood. Although therapy may be directive at times, I often allow clients to lead and exercise their capacity for change.

Working under the supervision of an experienced Registered Psychotherapist, I offer online individual psychotherapy and relationship counselling.
If you’re feeling burned out, stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from others, therapy can be an important step towards change and healing. It can help you understand your needs, process difficult experiences, let go of harsh-self criticism, develop new coping strategies, and rediscover what’s truly important to you. I especially love helping clients reconnect with who they are under all of the masks they’ve been wearing for others, and supporting them in understanding and working towards their own unique vision for meaningful relationships and a fulfilling life.

I support young people and adults with anxiety and depression, relationship challenges, as well as new and expecting parents, and families with a child diagnosed with autism or other childhood disability.
Life transitions can leave us feeling lost and overwhelmed. Becoming a new parent, navigating new relationships and family dynamics, receiving a life changing diagnosis, attending a new school, entering a new life stage, career change, relocation, or experiencing loss can bring up many challenging emotions such as loneliness, fear, grief, anxiety, and depression. It can be hard to appreciate life’s finer moments when we are overwhelmed by our emotions, thoughts, and others' perceptions and expectations of us. These feelings can affect the way we live, learn, parent, maintain relationships, and function in our every day lives.

Couples Counselling

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
