My name is Saskia and I am an experienced counsellor and peer worker. I've seen many therapists throughout my life, with experiences ranging from transformative to frustrating. I know that for many people the hierarchical relationship between therapist and client can be demeaning and disempowering. My practice is particularly focused on supporting those have trouble with these traditional therapeutic relationships. My approach is collaborative and informal, involving you as an equal partner in the process of therapy.

I am a trauma informed psychotherapist and counsellor. I specialise in trauma, complex PTSD, grief, suicide bereavement, relationships, anxiety, depression, self-worth, stress management and purposeful living. I provide online individual therapy for people who have experienced childhood trauma, supporting them in moving past their triggers and processing unresolved emotional wounds, so that they can rediscover their self worth and live an empowered life.

I have over 30 years experience working as a mental health practitioner and psychotherapist, and 10 years experience as a meditation teacher, mindfulness practitioner and practising buddhist. Neurological conditions affect both the patient and their family. I offer my services to both. Neurological disorders are doubtless among the most frightening illnesses that human beings face. Knowledge is sometimes the only power there is against the vagaries of these ailments. That is where counselling from a specialist psychotherapist comes in. I will make an assessment of the patient’s condition and take a medical history. I will also work with the patient’s doctor to coordinate the psychotherapy with medical treatment.
