Our campuses are beautiful, home-like settings in Sonoma County, Clovis and Riverside, California, where clients enjoy camaraderie, benefit from intensive integrated therapy, and enjoy recreation and experiential therapy activities. Boys and girls are treated and housed separately to eliminate drama and distraction. Evolve Walnut Creek offers premier mental health, substance use, and dual diagnosis treatment for teens ages 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harming/high-risk behaviors, addiction, suicidality, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Conduct disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other emotional/behavioral issues. At Evolve, we cater exclusively to adolescents. Our treatment team includes a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, licensed therapists, on-site nurses, counselors and 24-hour support staff. We offer a safe, supportive, warm home environment for teens to stabilize and learn practical ways to improve their emotional health. Our clinical staff conducts a comprehensive evaluation of each teen pre- and post-admission in order to develop a customized, highly detailed treatment plan that is constantly updated based on treatment progress. Our robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy at least 5 times a week; weekly psychiatry; daily groups (on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention, Life Skills, Healthy Relationships, and Seeking Safety); and daily academic support. Families from out-of-state participate in family therapy remotely. Teens also participate in experiential therapies (e.g. equine, music, art, fitness, yoga, and more) as well as SMART Recovery programs for those struggling with dual diagnoses.

At reSTART, we've witnessed the countless ways tech use interferes with overall health and wellness. Some of the problems we see involve a decline in academic performance, unhealthy sleep habits, poor diet, impaired family and social relationships, and a decrease in motivation (other than to be online). Over time, excessive use acts in similar ways as does a drug like cocaine. Tolerance is built up, and an even greater amount of time is spent online to keep feeling good.
