Newport Academy is a different kind of teen outpatient treatment center. Our philosophy of care is grounded in addressing the root causes of destructive behaviors—the trauma, depression, anxiety, abandonment wounds, and lack of self-esteem that catalyze co-occurring disorders. Our integrated approach guides teens and their families to achieve long-term, sustainable healing from mental health conditions as well as substance abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, and other maladaptive behaviors. Based in clinical expertise and compassionate care, our whole-person treatment model takes into account the physical, psychological, social, educational, and spiritual needs of adolescents. We support young people ages 12 and up in building authentic connection with self; restoring harmony in the family system; and developing supportive relationships with peers. Our team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, nurse practitioners, counselors, equine therapists, art therapists, music therapists, adventure therapists, registered dietitians, nutritionists, teachers, and more, with a wide range of degrees and experience. The mission of California Centers for Recovery is to provide the best continuum of care for not only adult men and women struggling with addiction, but also their families. CCR will always strive to offer the highest quality of care in the Southern California Region and Nationwide, while priding itself on a foundation of integrity, transparency, and compassion. Furthermore, the center will always provide a nurturing environment for each and every patient that walks through its doors while simultaneously addressing the root causes and conditions affecting the addict/alcoholic. Patients and their loved ones are treated with kindness, compassion, and continuous patience as they acquaint themselves with the recovery process. Lastly, CCR will always hold our professional staff, our clients, and their families accountable in the recovery process.

As an intimate rehab, Elevation Behavioral Health provides our clients with specialized treatment to better meet their needs. Through the utilization of behavioral health, holistic and evidenced-based therapies, we provide inpatient mental health treatment and private inpatient mental health facilities.

Insurance covers up to 100 percent of the treatment and therapeutic modalities that Newport Academy offers. We accept all major insurance providers and work collaboratively with payers to optimize coverage for families. Many adolescents who receive treatment from Newport Academy using insurance coverage do so through a Single Case Agreement, a special contract through which out-of-network providers can work with a family’s insurance company on an In-Network basis. Newport Academy maintains a full-time, in-house team dedicated to supporting families through the mental health insurance coverage and financing process. In order to secure sufficient insurance coverage, we will most likely need to conduct a series of clinical reviews and any requested doctor-to-doctor calls with the insurance company. While other facilities may charge for this service, we feel it is our responsibility to assist families with what can be a complex process. Our goal is to ensure that families receive the maximum coverage, so they can access the highest-quality treatment.
