Insurance/In-Network Provider
Insurance covers up to 100 percent of the treatment and therapeutic modalities that Newport Academy offers. We accept all major insurance providers and work collaboratively with payers to optimize coverage for families. Many adolescents who receive treatment from Newport Academy using insurance coverage do so through a Single Case Agreement, a special contract through which out-of-network providers can work with a family’s insurance company on an In-Network basis. Newport Academy maintains a full-time, in-house team dedicated to supporting families through the mental health insurance coverage and financing process. In order to secure sufficient insurance coverage, we will most likely need to conduct a series of clinical reviews and any requested doctor-to-doctor calls with the insurance company. While other facilities may charge for this service, we feel it is our responsibility to assist families with what can be a complex process. Our goal is to ensure that families receive the maximum coverage, so they can access the highest-quality treatment. Nationally Accredited Academics
At Newport Academy, academic and life skills education is an integral part of the treatment experience. Our licensed and highly trained teachers and tutors work closely with students, parents, and their current school to create a customized academic plan informed by a combination of psychoeducational test results, current transcripts, and state curriculum standards. Clients earn credits and improve their study skills and motivation, sometimes for the first time, while receiving the comprehensive treatment they need to heal. Our strengths-based approach to education recognizes that learning, like every other aspect of a young person’s experience, is inextricably intertwined with their self-esteem, well-being, and sense of empowerment. As teens progress in treatment, we see their academic engagement and motivation improve along with their mental health measures. Our goal is to ensure that our clients are set up for success when they return to their home school, with the tools they need to thrive in the academic environment. What Makes Us Different?
Rather than simply addressing symptoms and behaviors, Newport’s clinical model achieves sustainable healing by treating the underlying trauma and attachment wounds that manifest as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and co-occurring issues such as substance abuse, self-harm, and eating disorders. We use a documented and outcomes-validated treatment model with standardized protocols, session goals, and group curriculum. In addition, we recognize that family involvement is key, and our model shifts the focus from the patient as the “problem” to the family as the solution. Our philosophy of care builds secure attachment for clients to safely be vulnerable, to explore interests, discover passions, and gain meaning, purpose, and insight to replace high-risk behaviors.
