As a licensed professional counselor, I aim to make authentic connections with my clients in order to work as a team to achieve their therapeutic goals. I obtained my Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University and have worked in community mental health and college settings. I take a wholistic stance on the therapeutic process, acknowledging mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual concerns simultaneously as appropriate. I have worked one on one with individuals as well as facilitated group therapy sessions.
Viewing each client as an individual, it is important for me to assist in developing treatments that are tailored to each of my client’s specific needs, through an integrative approach. I operate from a person-centered and humanistic orientation, meaning that I meet the client where they are and work together to develop individualized treatment plans.
It is my intent to authentically connect with each client that I work with to best assist them in reaching their goals. As a certified professional dog trainer, I have begun developing treatment plans that incorporate Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT), and I utilize my therapy dogs in training within many of my therapy sessions.
