I offer an integrative, eclectic approach that caters to you personally because each person is different.
I believe every person deserves to live their best life. That looks different for each person in every walk of life. There are times in life when things can get really difficult and it feels like your head is under water. I work with those struggling in life's day to day struggles, some of which included depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and more. I want to walk along side you and create a safe space so we can work together in your healing.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, utilizing evidence-based practices.
I am truly honored when chosen to be someone's therapist. This is a hard decision to make and one that is not always easy. I have had the privilege to work with individual clients ages 12 to 80 years old. I enjoy helping teen clients navigate uncharted middle and high school territories and beyond. I also really love to work with adults in transition and those who are navigating through big decisions that can create anxiety. I have worked with female clients wading through the deep waters of depression and childhood trauma. I am also looking to work with older individuals 60 and up and how to help them with grief and medical trauma.

Sometimes motherhood feels impossible. You want to be different, but you keep finding yourself yelling at your children. The noise, the constant needs...the pressure from all sides, just keeps you going until you drop into bed at night, but then you can't even fall asleep at night because your mind won't shut down. You’re tired of feeling alone. Exhausted from it all. What would it be like if you could wake in the morning without the heaviness of the day that lies ahead? What if you could feel a sense of peace throughout your day rather than the guilt that grips you now? It seems those are only dreams.

Stress and past trauma can make us feel like a ship lost at sea in a storm. When life feels overwhelming, it is important to realize trauma affects the lens with which we view the world. Sometimes we are well aware of what is holding us back from healing. At times we benefit from help with recognizing and addressing those obstacles. Whether you are suffering from depression, anxiety, complex trauma, PTSD, religious trauma or some other struggle that brings you to counseling, I would love the opportunity to help you reach your goals. You are not alone, there is a place of hope and healing for you.

Relationships provide a window to the heart of an individual like no other. Our closest relationships tend to reveal our most wounded places. Those hurts, if left unresolved, are carried forward and recast into our exiting patterns of relating. All our experiences, but most particularly our pain, become the filter through which we sift and construct our view of self, our approach to life, our capacity love and be loved, and our ability to trust.

I utilize an integrative approach to meet my clients where they are at emotionally; however, I am trained in TF-CBT, EMDR, play therapy interventions, and sand tray, which are effective in treating a wide-range of concerns.
Whatever the reason you are looking for counseling services, please know I am glad you here! For some people, it is easy to ask for help & for others, it is extremely difficult. You might be struggling with managing difficult behaviors with your child & unsure of how to help them. You might question whether you should even come to counseling because you are not sure if what you are going through is "really bad enough" compared to others. I have worked with many different people in helping them to process through whatever the concerns. Also providing clinical supervision to LMSW's working toward clinical licensure.

I offer an integrative, collaborative, informal and conversational approach where you can develop a better sense of yourself by practicing active self-expression in a true and authentic way.
Being human isn't always easy, and when life gets complicated and becomes challenging, therapy can help offer tools to navigate through a crisis while providing you a deeper exploration of yourself. Problems in relationships often come from old ways of coping that served you in the past, but now may be keeping you from feeling fulfilled and satisfied with your life. I believe our most challenging times can also be our greatest opportunity for change. Healing is possible, and therapy is a journey towards self-discovery where you get to explore the landscape of your own mind.

Integrative Therapists

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.

How does integrative therapy work?

Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behavior patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.

How long does integrative therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

How effective is integrative therapy?

There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
