I help my clients work on their individual goals by meeting the client where they are at and working with them to find solutions to whatever issues are holding them back. I primarily work with clients struggling with trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, dual-diagnoses (substance abuse in combination with other mental health diagnoses/presentations) for the past 12 years.

I know that you or a family member having TBI, spinal cord injury, other bodily injuries, and or chronic illness may be experiencing drastic life changes which may have caused you to feel depression, anxiety, isolation etc. I offer individual & group therapy/support groups to provide coping skills & emotional support. Committed relationships can be a very exciting time but can also be a very nerve wrecking time because its one of the biggest decisions of your life if you decide to marry this person. I want to be an objective therapist that can help guide you through this process with Christian pre enagagement counseling.

Dr. Gard has a PhD in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine with over 30 years of clinical experience. Clients span a wide variety of diagnoses. She sees clients Age 5 to seniors. ETNH office is open Mondays through Thursdays and by appointment to serve the community. She can provide biofeedback, neurofeedback, EMDR, hypnosis, light therapy in addition to eclectic approaches (cognitive and behavioral) to address your specific needs.

With over 25 years experience in professional counseling & 20 years as a counseling supervisor, I continue to love what I get to do. My hope for my clients is they have a positive experience in counseling, although I know that change is difficult, but worth the time and effort.
