I primarily work with clients struggling with trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, dual-diagnoses (substance abuse in combination with other mental health diagnoses/presentations) for the past 12 years.

I know that you or a family member having TBI, spinal cord injury, other bodily injuries, and or chronic illness may be experiencing drastic life changes which may have caused you to feel depression, anxiety, isolation etc. I offer individual & group therapy/support groups to provide coping skills & emotional support. Throughout our therapy, together, you and I will look at the different aspects of your personality, how you were raised, and the messages you received from you parent(s), and how you functioned in the family system. In addition, both of us will work on counseling goals, which will govern the direction of your counseling process.

With over 25 years experience in professional counseling & 20 years as a counseling supervisor, I continue to love what I get to do. My hope for my clients is they have a positive experience in counseling, although I know that change is difficult, but worth the time and effort. Dr. Gard has a PhD in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine with over 30 years of clinical experience. Clients span a wide variety of diagnoses. She sees clients Age 5 to seniors. ETNH office is open Mondays through Thursdays and by appointment to serve the community. She can provide biofeedback, neurofeedback, EMDR, hypnosis, light therapy in addition to eclectic approaches (cognitive and behavioral) to address your specific needs.
