My treatment approach is based on over 10 years of providing testing and treatment services. In every case, my primary treatment goal is to help my clients develop the necessary skills--both thinking and behaving-- to improve their health, academic performance, day-to-day functioning and sense of well-being and self-efficacy. I do not fix my clients but focus all my efforts toward helping them to fix or better manage their problems themselves. This is done through fostering client strengths.

As an Individual, Couples and Family Therapist, I utilize evidence-based theories to assist in the journey of healing. Speciality training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)Therapy, CBT and Solution Focused Therapy. I am also a Family Mediator, Parent Coordinator and Parenting Facilitator assigned by the family courts in Texas.

My passion is treating clients who have endured trauma. I'm trained in EMDR. I combine EMDR with narrative therapy to help clients resolve and reprocess the traumatic event. I love working with clients who suffer from depression, bipolar, and personality disorders. I also work with couples and families who are in crisis. I am also endorsed by the American Psychotherapy Association as a Board Certified Professional Counselor.

At Katy Child Psychology Associates we provide expert assessment, diagnosis, consultation and intervention for childhood behavior and learning problems. Families come to us to gain valuable information and support for their children. We assist families in finding resources and treatment options that are suitable for their individual needs.
