I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern in the state of Texas. I obtained my Masters of Science in Family Studies from Texas Woman's University, in addition to a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. I am passionate about helping those who have experienced trauma, and have found joy in working with the unique niche of first responders. When you have suffered trauma and it seems like no one understands, I can guide you in learning how to cope and assist with regaining control of your life.

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and have a research background from UT Southwestern Medical Center in the Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care, and 32 years of first responder experience. This background enables me to help those who have experienced trauma, or may be in crisis. At the Child Behavior Center we work with you, and with your child. To help a child, we must help mom and dad too! We assist you in navigating the ups and downs of frustrating, often puzzling child behavior. Specializing in treatment for high functioning autism (Aspergers Syndrome in the past,) PDD (pervasive developmental delay), and many children with behavioral differences and challenges, we design treatment plans individualized for neuroatypical, developmentally challenged children, children with high anxiety, anger, aggression, and sensory overload, among others. A natural partner with these problems is often social rejection.
