I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of presenting issues and specialize in treating eating disorders, body image disturbances, depression and other mood disorders, personality difficulties, relationship struggles, and anxiety/panic disorder. I also specialize in psychological/psychoeducational testing to assess learning abilities, attention, cognitive skills, and intelligence. My treatment approach is very individualized and I tend to focus on both current symptoms/behaviors and the origins of a person's struggles. I also believe in creating a relaxed and natural relationship full of compassion and humor.

I help people recovering from traumatic experiences in relationships and I offer guidance and practical skills to take home. People come because they had a difficult childhood and were hurt by people they were supposed to trust. People who have felt anxious most of their lives and don't know how to stop repeating mistakes. Sometimes clients come as a couple trying to heal from infidelity, built up walls, and pain. These couples are tired of feeling lonely inside a relationship. Brandy Kushan (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master of Education in Community Agency Counseling from Cleveland State University in 2010. She works with children, adolescents, and young adults. She specializes in working with children and adolescents who have a history of complex trauma, attachment disturbances/disorder, and placement in foster/adoption/kinship care. As a part of this work, Brandy provides ongoing caregiver guidance support. She has experience in addressing concerns related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, and behavioral issues such as conduct disorder and ODD and ADHD.

I have a master's degree from Case Western Reserve University and I am a supervising licensed independent social worker with over 20 years of experience. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in many settings including hospitals, schools, childcare centers, juvenile detention centers, adolescent residential treatment facilities, and outpatient community mental health centers. I especially love working with children and their families, assisting those as young as three years of age.

I am a behaviorist at heart but that does not mean that my compassion, my irreverent style, or my humor are lost in my sessions. My goal is to join with my clients and pair an evidence based treatment with empathy and compassion for the most successful outcomes. I work with adolescents and adults specializing in feeding and food issues, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and parent coaching.

I recognize that seeking therapy can be intimidating and that life can be difficult and unpredictable. I look forward to providing an environment in which clients feel at ease and I am ready to support them as they gain insight, learn new coping skills and navigate the complexities of being human.
