Creating meaning and finding clarity in life – especially during times of emotional distress – can lead to greater knowledge and understanding of self. Insight through the counseling process and the therapeutic relationship oftentimes reveals relational patterns that have been established throughout the lifetime. This awareness can lead to deepened relationships that nurture our deepest desires for connection and intimacy.
My therapeutic approach can be described as relational and psychodynamic as we explore together emotional responses to some of life's biggest moments while also examining patterns in our day to day lives. My desire is to relate to each individual as a person, not as a set of symptoms, sharing our humanity with one another on life’s journey.
I have many years of professional practice, connecting with individuals, couples, and families that have experienced trauma, loss, or anxiety. Individuals often find comfort as we co-construct goals. Diagnoses become secondary while fulfillment and continued growth become the outcomes of therapy.
