My ideal client is a person, couple, or group who is ready to walk down the path of healing and connection in order to live their lives in an authentic and loving way. I believe that connection with others starts with a genuine connection with self. Issues, needs, and goals vary from person to person, but the folks I'm happy to work with are bringing their whole selves to the room knowing that this work can be difficult, but it is worth it to live in a healed, complete state of being. In addition to therapy, I offer DOT SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) services.
I find the Japanese art of Kintsugi beautiful in how it shows that even through brokenness, careful repair can turn something that was once damaged and unusable into something amazing. Between EFCT, Narrative, Solution-focused, and some behavior-informed strategies, I offer my clients a guide along the path of healing, connection, and reconciliation.
While it does not hold that time heals all wounds, it is true that through the patient, loving work of acceptance and grace, you can live with the scars and grow, in love, through it. Emotional injuries and relationship fractures happen, I believe that through focusing on the repair, we can all be better.
