I'm an immigrant, mother, military spouse and woman...and those things alone make me unique. I am an unconventional therapist that can break things down in simple terms rather than clinical jargon, while still providing therapeutic support. A lot of times we steer away from therapy because it feels like a place of judgement and vulnerability that we're not ready for. My goal is to help my clients feel comfortable and supported as we work together. Anyone can come and talk for one hour a week, but the real effort and magic happens when you're able to take the information learned in therapy and add it to your everyday life.
My primary area of clinical practice is women's counseling needs. I specialize in women of color and maternal mental health. COVID helped me realize how much we all, especially parents, need help and support. Working via telehealth while I had two kids home with me and pregnant, I saw how much more my love of this field was shifting towards women's needs.
It's amazing to see clients use their insight and reframing to make changes in their day-to-day life. Helping women feel empowered and have the courage to advocate for themselves is important to me as a therapist and so inspiring to witness. The glass ceilings were meant to be broken! I am licensed in DE, PA, NJ and FL.
