Hello! My name is Shanti Behrens, M.ED, LPC, LPCC I identify as Desi (South Asian) and am a cis woman who uses she/her pronouns. I offer counseling to individuals 18+. I see clients face to face and offer tele-health options as well. I am LGBTQA+ affirming and specialize in anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, identity development and relationship concerns. I also specialize in working with individuals who identify as BIPOC and adult adoptees. I use a variety of evidence based practices including EMDR, CBT, REBT, and Relational Cultural Theory.
I identify as Desi (South Asian) and am a cis woman who uses she/her pronouns. I am a transracial and international adoptee which has shaped my identity and world view. Being a woman of color and an adult adoptee has helped me better understand the complexity of identity and how I show up in the world.
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe environment where clients can explore concerns and be the experts on themselves. Finding a therapist who is right for you can be difficult and so important! Please reach out to schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
