Dr. Capalbo's first goal upon meeting new clients is to build a strong therapeutic relationship by creating a safe, non-judgmental environment. He has experience working with school-age children, young adults and adults. His area of specialty is focused around topics related to anxiety, depression, adjustment, identity development and a wide variety of challenges faced by college students. Additionally, he has experience working with children experiencing bullying, parental separation and abuse.

Her Bachelor's degree is in early childhood development, and she was a second-grade teacher. She has Master's degrees in developmental psychology and educational psychology, and a doctoral degree in counseling psychology. Dr. Walen is currently providing affirming care through full-battery psychological and neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan.

Cheryl L. Lacey is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who has been practicing since 2011. She received her MSW from Bridgewater State University. Cheryl believes in providing a safe, trauma-informed space for clients to work through their concerns, at their own pace without judgement. She has been working in the field of mental health for over 30 years in a variety of behavioral health settings and has experience working with adults, teens and families who are struggling with a variety of mental health and substance abuse concerns. I am passionate about self-discovery, exploration and healing. I have come to learn that a tremendous amount of people feel alone, disconnected, anxious and fearful.

Hermanett Opele is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who has been practicing since 2011. She graduated from the Simmons School of Social Work. Melissa’s work experience includes working with children and families to address mental health and safety needs for increased stabilization, in addition to working with adults to build independent living skills and mental health symptom management.
