If you are motivated to work on what is troubling you I am happy to meet you. It takes courage to ask for help. I see adults of all ages individually or in couples. I work with anxiety, depression, grief, medical issues, loss and bereavement, relationship problems and uncomplicated trauma. I have built a multifaceted approach which we can tailor-make for you. One client said of me,"Barbara is a great asset for anyone looking to deepen their experience of life. She is a warm and caring guide through any difficulty and will reliably be your mentor, therapist, teacher and friend". Please call and we will talk. Thank you.
I am very interactive. I hope that my lengthy professional experience as well as my life experience will help you. I am considered creative and a good listener. If I do not understand something, please tell me. I have extensive training in depression, medical illness, trauma, relationship issues. Please note: I am not accepting severe trauma/depression.
I spent twenty years as a Lecturer on Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School
at The Cambridge Health Alliance supervising students and staff. I have also studied Internal Family Systems, trauma and attachment theory. I consider myself as a consultant to you and have deep respect for your courage to enter psychotherapy. Humor helps! Thank you.
