I work with individuals, couples and families to develop respectful curiosity about their challenges, problems and promise for more abundant living. I also explore, when indicated, the roots to personal problems. My patients and I collaborate to achieve relief from suffering as quickly as possible, and when appropriate, to pursue deep understanding in order to accomplish lasting change and resiliency.

I am Kimberly Alexander and I believe it is a privilege to serve my community as a helping professional. I believe life continuously evolves and change is inevitable. When accepting a client I believe they have the capacity to resolve their own problems with my assistance. I believe that as people become more accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment in their lives. I see counseling as a way of finding solutions, exploring possibilities, and facilitating self-discovery that leads to a more productive and happy life.

My greatest reward as a therapist is helping my clients explore ways to make the changes in their lives that will allow them to look forward to the future with hope. I provide my clients with a warm, nonjudgmental environment-a safe place to explore the issues that may be preventing you from living the life you want. I have been working in the mental health profession since 2013 with experience specifically in mental health counseling with children, adolescents, and adults.

My goal is to help you reach your best potential, to learn how to let go of the negativity that may be holding you back, and feel more confident within yourself. Together we will dig past the surface issues to identify what is creating these problems so that you can resolve them for good! Robin graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2003 with a Master's in Counseling Psychology and has since earned status as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor. Robin has over 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as her primary modality of intervention. Past positions have focused on family preservation, in home services, school based services, and traditional in office therapy. She has expertise in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief as well as ADHD and behavioral disorders.

Lindsey Sengel is a Licensed Psychological Practitioner with 12 years of experience in therapy and psychological assessment. Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, she attended the University of Kentucky where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2007. Lindsey attained her master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Morehead State University in 2010. She has been with LifeStance for 5 years, but has recently moved to a part-time position focusing on psychological assessment for ADHD, academic difficulties, and general diagnostic clarification.

Dr. Christian earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Spalding University in 2015 and completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Idaho Counseling & Testing Center. Her clinical interests include psychological assessment of ADHD and Learning Disorders and psychological testing to aid in diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. She is a member of the Kentucky Psychological Association.

Adriene Simpson is an advanced practice registered nurse, board certified as a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. A native of central Kentucky, she has worked as a nurse for more than 14 years in various settings. She received her master's degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her treatment modalities include prescription medication, homeopathic and alternative therapies. She incorporates genetic testing to improve medication management and outcomes. She is a member of the American Nurse Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Bethany Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky who has been practicing since 2020. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Minor in Anthropology) from University of Kentucky and a Masters of Clinical Social Work from University of Kentucky. As a clinician, Bethany considers her clients to be the experts on their own lives. Rather than advice, Bethany offers those she works with the opportunity to collaboratively process day-to-day situations. Bethany encourages people to move forward with making their own choices, based on what they feel is best for themselves.

Sean Blackburn is a licensed independent social worker with over 20 years of experience. He received his master's and bachelor's degrees from University of Kentucky. He has experience working in outpatient, inpatient and long-term care settings. He also has experience providing counseling services to young adults and older adults. He specializes in treating anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar illness, substance use disorders and personality disorders.

Elizabeth Turner received her master's degree in social work and her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Kentucky. She has received advanced training in certified family behavior therapy and is an EMDR trained therapist. She has over 9 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Her areas of specialty include ADHD, complex grief, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, self-harm, anxiety and panic disorders, substance use disorders, attachment disorders and LGBTQIA+ issues. She sees adolescents and adults ages 14 to 65+.

We all have an internal pressure cooker that holds strong feelings and repressed emotions. This is especially true with today’s adolescents and teenagers. When anxiety, fear, depression, and outside stressors fill their barometer up, they reach a boiling point of eruption that plays out in extreme anger, defiance, substance abuse, addictions to social media and screens, overeating, and other destructive behaviors.

Mikka McGee is a graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Social Work and from University of Louisville with a Master of Science in Social Work. Her experience includes community-based outpatient mental health care. She specializes in PTSD, Trauma and related disorders, ADHD, Autism spectrum, depression & anxiety disorders. The interventions she has been extensively trained in are EMDR, TF-CBT, CPT. She utilizes a person-centered approach to tailor therapeutic interventions to the individual. Sees ages 12-65+.

Amanda Crabtree received her bachelor's degree in Psychology, and her master's degree and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. She completed her predoctoral internship at Kentucky River Community Care in Hazard, KY and post-doctorate at New Vista as a Program Manager for the Center for Women and Children, a 28-day residential treatment center for mothers struggling with Substance Use Disorders.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 4 years of therapy experience serving children and adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, life transitions, and school/behavior problems. I use a combination of techniques to meet your individual needs.

Matthew Weddington is a licensed professional clinical counselor with dual master's degrees in school counseling and clinical mental health counseling. His passion resides in integrating evidenced-based treatment modalities with a strong emphasis on the mind-body connection. He is experienced in school, outpatient and inpatient treatment settings and has worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults for mental health and substance abuse issues. His specialties include addictions, anxiety, sleep disorders, panic disorder, mood disorders, personality disorders and recovery from childhood and adult traumas.

When you come to me, you can expect a person-centered approach that focuses on you as the client. I am dedicated to providing each client with a genuine, positive, and empathetic regard. I specialize in working with children/adolescents (along with their parents) and young adults with anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, self-harm, and general mental health issues.
