I am Kimberly Alexander and I believe it is a privilege to serve my community as a helping professional. I believe life continuously evolves and change is inevitable. When accepting a client I believe they have the capacity to resolve their own problems with my assistance. I believe that as people become more accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment in their lives. I see counseling as a way of finding solutions, exploring possibilities, and facilitating self-discovery that leads to a more productive and happy life.
My clinical experience includes working with families addressing child/adolescent emotional and behavioral issues. I specialize in child-centered play therapy/parent-relationship techniques. I also enjoy working with adults and am trained in eclectic skills to assist adults as they explore challenges due to stress and/or life changes.
Some clients need only a few counseling sessions to achieve goals, while others may require a more lengthy commitment. Successful counseling should feel that you are able to face the future without my support or intervention. I look forward to helping you and/or your family through life's journey.
