Welcome to my practice! I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, panic disorder, and trauma, with a focus on women's mental health. Holding extensive experience helping college students and young adults through life transitions, processing trauma, stress management, and relationship difficulties, I provide a safe space to explore emotions and develop healthy coping strategies.

I welcome both adults and adolescents to my practice. I work by creating a safe, affirming and warm environment for people to work on the issues they identify. I would like to work with people that want to explore why they are finding trouble in relationships or productivity to achieve an improved version of themselves.

We, as human beings, are all on a path through life dealing with our own unique conflicts (be it interior or exterior) and struggles from our lives before this point. Everyday is a new chance to devote effort in ourselves with a goal to make ourselves better than the day before. We are all striving to be the absolute best version of ourselves we can be, even if your version looks different than the next person's. Even if you are unsure of your own matters of contention and unable to see the prospects of your future, I am dedicated to starting or continuing on this journey with you.

I believe that your past does not define you and everyone deserves to heal and feel better. No one should have to go through life's toughest moments alone. The people I work with usually want something about themselves or their life to be different. Painful and overwhelming experiences tend to impact who they are, how they feel about themselves, and effect their relationships with others. Healing usually includes caring for wounds, learning lots, and doing things a little differently than before. People feel better about themselves - stronger, more secure, calmer, and more peaceful - as a result of therapy and healing work.

I believe in providing a safe environment and building a strong and great relationship with all clients. Through my experience as a professional counselor, I have gained a strong understanding of anxiety, depression, PTSD, dissociation, and trauma related to mental health. Previously, I was working in a university mental health clinic, as well as for a non- profit organization that helps individuals relating to trauma and PTSD. Most of my experience has focused on working with adults ranging in age from 18-65, but I welcome all age ranges into counseling.

Coping with stress, transitions, and life's challenges can be difficult, but it is not one that you have to face alone. My goal is to provide the support and tools that are needed to manage the emotional distress that come with unsettling times. I work with individuals all along the lifespan using a person-centered and integrative approach to meet a client's needs. While I work with clients of all ages, I also specialize in working in infant/toddler mental health and with those who have experienced trauma and violence.

While reaching out for help can feel scary, please know that in therapy you have a lot of control and I work hard to help you feel safe. My clients often prefer the flexibility that video visits offer. Typically my clients are living stressful lives, may have a history of trauma, or be feeling overwhelmed. In particular, I'm experienced in working with people living with anxiety, depression, OCD, past trauma, people in recovery, caregivers and healthcare workers. Everyone is different, and I prefer to shape how we work together based on your individual needs and goals. I see clients virtually in both Texas and New Hampshire.

I am a Rio Grande Valley native that is currently living in the Texas Hill Country. I have been providing therapy services over 17 years working with people with substance use disorders, dual diagnosis, mood disorder, and persons who have disabilities.
