My goal as a therapist is to help my clients learn and implement the skills necessary for long-term results. I use a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy called Rational Living Therapy and I am a Certified Rational Living Therapist. The foundational concept of RLT is that your emotions and behaviors are created by your thoughts, rather than your situations. This is a wonderful fact because you can learn to change your thoughts to improve how you feel, even if your situation does not change. By the conclusion of your time in therapy you will have gained the rational self-counseling skills to essentially be your own Therapist.

I have been practicing as a therapist for over twenty years and have worked with children, adults, and families in many different types of therapeutic settings. I have the clinical skills necessary to develop a therapeutic relationship, which I feel is key to advance the therapeutic process. I am able to teach the skills to clients so they can apply them when needed. I can help clients to learn from their past, live a healthy life in the present, and set goals for the future.

My practice is devoted to treating the full range of emotional and psychological problems that an individual may be experiencing from a psychoanalytic perspective. My goal is to enable clients to experience themselves in a creative way having shed the burden of maladaptive ways of relating to self and others and free of defensive emotional patterns.
