Regardless of the one's experiences and circumstances, I am here to clinically and professionally, yet warmly with compassion and genuineness, help through these times. I love what I do have been professionally helping people through tough times for over 25 years.

I have worked in the field of mental health for over 20 years with a variety of age groups and ethnicities. I provide individual therapy. I cover a wide range of therapeutic issues.

My passion is working with children, teenagers, young adults, couples and families to process trauma and difficult experiences so they can experience growth and healing within themselves and their relationships. Through my work with individuals and family's I have learned the deep importance of understanding "what has happened" to people rather than viewing people through the lens of "what is wrong with people".

My number one priority is my client. I strive to be very present with my clients and I try my very best to understand and help them achieve their goals. I believe that everyone deserves happiness and understanding. My goal is to help each and every client to be the best version of his/herself.

We at Attention Deficit Specialists provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment program for children and adults with ADHD, PDD, Aspergers, Learning Disabilities and oppositional disorders. Rather than relying exclusively on medication, we provide alternative approaches that boost self esteem and teach people to control symptoms on their own. Our staff offers a multimodal approach which offers the greatest possibility of long term success. In addition to Neurofeedback, Biofeedback and Interactive Metronome we offer a treatment approach that includes parent training, behavior modification, individual and family counseling and school advocacy. We also conduct psychoeducational assessments.

I believe that all individuals are able to change but get stuck in patterns that do not serve them well due to daily stress. Changing these patterns is accomplished through interactive conversations and identifying why these patterns are not useful before creating new useful patterns. I work with couples on a variety of issues such as trust and betrayal, affairs, intimacy, grief, divorce, communication, addictions, and any of the myriad of relationship issues all couples experience. In addition, I work with children, youth and their families on a variety of relationship issues dealing with conflict, communication, parenting, defiance, adoption and respect.

Our lives are defined by our relationships. However, maintaining and nourishing these relationships can be a challenge. My goal as a therapist is to help families, individuals, and couples seeking to rejuvenate and rebuild relationships at all stages, whether you're experiencing marital difficulties, tensions with parenting, or managing relationships with elderly parents or children who have moved out of the house. In therapy sessions, I use a lighthearted touch and maintain a calm, safe environment that not only makes difficult moments tolerable but also encourages you to be reflective and self-aware.

I have been in practice for over thirty years and I feel privileged to have become part of the local and clinical community through my general practice work, as well as, through my work in sexuality. My approach tends to be interactive and relaxed. I have found that this helps people feel at ease and comfortable when discussing personal concerns.

I work with children (5+) and teenagers who are experiencing difficulties with hyperactivity (e.g. attention, lack of focus, school problems), impulsivity, oppositional defiance, anxiety, as well as adjustment issues such as divorce, change in school or family dynamics. As a licensed professional counselor and licensed behavioral specialist, I am highly trained to address these, and similar issues.

As a trauma-informed counselor, I clinically treat the client's symptoms with a talk-and-body therapeutic approach. I teach my clients coping strategies that are tweaked to be adaptive to the ASD/ADHD child/adult's neurodiversity in addition to the neurotypical populations' symptoms/sensory intrusions that are known or unknown reason(s) for the client's behavior(s) like anxiety mismanagement or a spontaneous violent outburst that at any age often do self-sabotage one's hoped for a good outcome(s).

Getting to the root of your pain, learning to deal with it, building upon your strengths then learning to act versus react to people and events is the goal of our approach.
