Penny Lantz has 30+ yrs of rich experience evaluating & treating children (birth on up) as well as teenagers. I also support adults/parents. I will complete a comprehensive evaluation which will allow you & I to look at what your child needs & how to best meet these needs. I also have experience dealing with the medical field and school systems. I can help you navigate these systems to make sure your child/student needs are successfully met. As a psychotherapist, I will support you & your child through sessions which may include individual, 1 on 1 psychotherapy, family or couples counseling. Child sessions will include play therapy.

Greetings! Over the past decade I have helped individuals diagnosed with multiple disabilities by showing them how to overcome their trauma through multiple coping skills and therapeutic techniques. My background includes working with suicidal/homicidal ideations, depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, behavioral challenges, and ADHD diagnoses. My goal is to help encourage acceptance and commitment through revisiting past trauma and seeing a brighter new beginning. I utilize motivational interviewing while providing client-centered therapy by using reflective listening and affirming the person’s concerns.

As a neurodivergent provider in a society that is not always neurodivergency affirming, I feel connected to clients who feel as if they are navigating life without understanding themselves or their experiences. My own experiences and training have drawn me to my passion of working with neurodivergent children and adults utilizing a neurodivergency affirming approach.

30+ years of professional experience and many more years of life experience have led me to EMDR. This treatment modality has proven to be successful in treating people who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, or a multitude of other experiences: domestic violence, sexual assault, violent crime. I've been doing this work for 46 years now, and still love it. And, I'm used to being successful at what I do. The challenge for me is people's "inside" language - what takes place beneath awareness. This is akin to the language of poetry and myth. I then translate between the worlds of "problem reality" and the deeper emergent Self - which is why I find this work rewarding.
