33+ years of professional social work experience and many more years of life experience have led me to EMDR and a deep commitment to working with trauma recovery for First responders and others experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, or a multitude of other experiences: domestic violence, sexual assault, violent crime. The focus of my work is the treatment of adults seeking to heal from trauma, anxiety and depression. It is my life's passion, providing emotional support and relief to those who have become stuck in their past experiences so they can live a more fulfilled present and future.
This highly specialized treatment intervention compliments my eclectic approach. My 25 years of "trench work", and another 10 in private practice allows me to see your situation from a unique perspective. I work closely with the Genesee County Sheriff Dept, Liberty House Recovery Center and with local OBgyns to treat birth trauma, PPD, birth loss, etc.
What this all means is that I will provide mental health treatment to you in an emotionally safe, non-judgemental space. I will use creative and exhaustive methods with a sense of humor. I am a tenacious advocate, passionate about my clients needs. And I have a Therapy Dog!
