Let's figure it out together, looking at your patterns and attachment styles and resolve it with EMDR and newer techniques, including fast, simple polyvagal exercises that reduce anxiety and depression. I recognize that my clients need to work thru the emotion connected to their circumstances and are also very much looking for a fresh perspective, based in experience and professional training, to help them determine what they can do about it. I work to help my clients find solutions whenever possible & develop effective ways to cope with the impact of those things they can't change. I take an approach to counseling that is practical and goal oriented and have a style that both men and women can connect with.

Therapeutic interventions include integrative approaches along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Psycho-Education, as well as Eastern philosophical tenets, and EMDR. If you deal with Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Addiction issues, a Trauma history, Dissociative Disorders or Personality Disorders, you will receive competent, compassionate and empathic care. Treatment needs can be met through individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy and/or group therapy. Danielle is here to empower families and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma reactions, ADHD, behavioral issues, and many other struggles. Danielle supports individuals with whom need support surrounding gender and sexual orientation (LGBTQ+ community). She also has experience working with individuals whom are in foster care or have been adopted.

For some of us our internal dialogue with ourselves could be described as anything but kind. We can be critical, self-deprecating, or devaluing of our experience due to past traumas that have informed a part of who we are, shame or guilt associated with our identity, or fear of experiencing ourselves as selfish. At times we can be so angry with ourselves for feeling that we are trapped in a cycle of attempting to do enough for others to finally have permission to be ourselves. This anger can give way to burn out, isolation, depression, and resignation. It can feel impossible to break out of that space.

I began my career in Phoenix, Arizona soon after graduating and took a huge leap of faith in 2020 and moved to the amazing city of Chicago where I have continued my career as a bilingual Spanish-speaking counselor. I have a background in social work, where I have worked primarily in child protective services, foster care, and adoptions. I also received my Crisis Intervention and Victimology Certifications in 2013, which allowed me the opportunity to work alongside law enforcement in the victim services department in Tucson, Arizona.

Linnea Favela is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Linnea earned her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Aurora University, while simultaneously specializing in addictions and school social work.

I work with individuals and couples both in person and online, via telehealth. I've worked frequently with trauma and have received EMDR and Gottman Level 1 training. I believe in the power of perspective and utilizing internal strengths to overcome life’s difficulties and hardships. Therapy is a great way to explore what has been holding you back in life and find new pathways to changes in your life that you desire. I know this process can be difficult and I work hard to ensure that my office is a judgment-free safe space where you can explore yourself and the process.

As a Marriage and Family therapist I serve couples, families and also individual needs. There are many different needs that I serve one of them being mental health disorders such as Anxiety and Depression.
