I am a Licensed Social Worker who specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, conduct/defiant behaviors, and interpersonal conflicts. I also have extensive experience working with families, groups, and neurodivergent populations such as autistic people and individuals with ADHD.

Stephanie Flynn LPCC, EMDR, C-DBT Stephanie Flynn is an independently licensed therapist in the state of Ohio. Stephanie has experience working in a variety of settings including community mental health, private practice, Intensive Out-Patient Programs, and a comprehensive Day Treatment program. Stephanie has achieved her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a master's degree in the Art of Education. She also has advanced training in EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care.

As a mental health provider I assist children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health symptoms. I engage, assess, diagnose, and apply behavioral theories to develop an effective treatment plan. During psychotherapy we address their unique situation, such as personal problems involving mental health, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Suicidal Ideation, and/or Trauma, to reduce the symptoms of mental health.

No one sees the real you. You put on a mask, to the outside world things seem ok with you. But when you slow down from a busy day or find yourself alone without any distractions, your mind starts racing and your mood shifts. Maybe you feel like you lost part of yourself at some point, or maybe you never really knew yourself to begin with. Distractions like alcohol/other substances, unhealthy relationships, overworking, or other short-term fixes can momentarily fill the void, but it does not last. If this hits close to home, I can help you find lasting solutions, not quick fixes.

Trauma or life circumstances can disrupt multiple facets of life (e.g. career, family, education, self-esteem, self-identity, or a sense of security) which may be overwhelming and increases the risk of isolation, depression, anxiety, grief as well as detachment from the community. The space of therapy is a place for you to reconnect with a sense of self, happiness, feel safe, hope, and be comfortable in a place where all are accepted.
