I specialize in treating people with anxiety disorders.
I have worked as a clinician in hospitals, mental health centers and in private practice since 1978.
I believe in treating the whole person; body, mind, spirit and emotion. I believe a balance of all four is necessary for health.
I believe in and practice both dynamic and cognitive-behavioral interventions as well as mindfulness which emphasizes acceptance, compassion for self and others and meditation.
I work diligently in the service of my client's recovery and feel great joy in their success.
I treat OCD, trauma and panic disorder.
Anxiety is useful until it becomes habitual and creates excessive distress and impairs function.
Disorders such as OCD, panic disorder and PTSD can be overcome through cognitive behavioral strategies which restore normal operations to the brain.
Autism spectrum disorders also frequently require interventions to reduce excess anxiety.
I work with adults and adolescents.
I treat the gamut of anxiety disorders including social anxiety, excessive worry, phobias and ocd spectrum disorders such as trichotillomania and body dysmorphic disorders.
