As a retired professional baseball player, who played 7 years with the Chicago White Sox, I understand the challenges difficult thoughts and feelings present while competing. I am passionate about supporting my clients and athletes in dealing with their challenges, through evidenced based supports, to increase their ability to function at the highest level in all aspects of life.

Sam is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist holding licenses in Nevada and California. A native of Iowa, he lived in Southern California for 30 years and settled in Las Vegas in 2020. He graduated from Grand View College – Des Moines, Iowa with a bachelor's d and a Master of Science degree in Counseling from California State University – Long Beach. After many years of working in the corporate world of mental health, he is returning to his real passion – working directly with individuals, couples, and families to assist with the challenges people encountered on this journey called life.

I am an inclusive Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who strives to make each client feel heard within a safe environment. I have experience working with members of various communities including the LGBTQIA population, sex/gender diverse persons, individuals practicing ethical non-monogamy, and are in non-traditional relationships.

I primarily work with individuals, couples and non traditional relationships about sexual issues, concerns, and questions. Under this umbrella people concerned with Out of Control Sexual Behavior, Diversity of Sexual Expression, Erectile Dysfunction, Vulvodynia, Premature Ejaculation, Sexual Desires & Arousal, Sexual Assault Trauma and Recovery. Together, we create a safe space, where diversity of experience can be explored with compassion.

Building authentic, genuine, open, and honest relationships are fundamental to my counseling, and have been instrumental for the past 25 years of helping people find their way through difficult times. Ryan understands first-hand just how difficult it can be dealing with the day to day difficulties of life, especially when struggling with depression, anxiety, or any other mental afflictions. He has collaborated with numerous individuals, couples, teenagers, and children, to get them to a place of authentic peacefulness and deep satisfaction in their lives. Ryan graduated at the top of his class from Adams State University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ryan is a Henderson local, greatly loves the Golden Knights, traveling, and being outdoors. He and his wife have been happily married for 6 years.

For the basis of my clinical practice, I work from a humanistic client-centered approach based upon Carl Rogers' view that people "are trustworthy, resourceful, capable of self-understanding and self-direction, able to make constructive changes, and able to live effective and productive lives". As a counselor my job is to help remove barriers to change once that is done the individual can proceed on their natural path toward growth and self-fulfillment. Although this is my primary basis for treatment, I will also utilize other therapeutic tools to meet your treatment goals.
