I believe that the process of psychotherapy is reparative and restorative. Working together, therapy provides an authentic human connection allowing for change to occur towards a healthy, balanced and genuine way of living. I provide a therapeutic space that is safe, warm, non-judgmental, empathic and respectful. My approach is integrative and holistic involving psychodynamic, cognitive/behavioral, humanistic and social justice elements. I understand that people and life in general are complex and in therapy we will work together to determine the best approach for the our therapeutic process.

Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, I have witnessed a lot that has helped me as a psychologist. I am experienced with working with children who have trauma and/or behavioral issues and adults who have mental health issues ranging from minimal stress to schizophrenia. I have worked with families that are dealing with infertility, infidelity, and separation. I am also a certified school psychologist. Hence, I understand academic difficulties and its impact on both the child and parent.

Over 30 years experience in the Human Services field: Marriage/Couples counseling, Separation Mediation, Multi-talent in Behavioral Health, Mental health Disorders, Substance abuse & Addiction disorders, and Co-occurring & Dual diagnosis disorders populations. Dedicated as a professional to ensure that the health and well being of the consumers are met and that each consumer receive the proper individualized treatment course of action with professional and ethical implementation. I also provide Tele-Therapy/Health sessions. I am also a Veteran of the Armed Forces "Army"..... And open to my brother & sister Veterans to server.

I'm a unique therapist that treats a wide array of mental health disorders. We focus on resolving past and current issues/trauma, finding solutions and eliciting organic change. If we are not solving your problems, I am wasting your time. My practice goes far beyond talk therapy, we do work. We explore childhood, adolescent and other lifetime experiences that impact our psychological functioning. To permanently resolve our disorders we must revisit and resolve these thoughts, feelings and events. I utilize DBT as part of my treatment approach and we engage from the first minute we meet.

I believe that therapy is an opportunity for people to get the most out of life. It is a reflection of one’s courage to face familial changes, life stressors and significant emotional experiences. An overarching goal of my practice is to utilize one’s talents, strengths, creativity, wisdom and optimism to help individuals regain control of their complicated lives. As such, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic approaches. I find that Psychodynamic Therapy can be particularly beneficial for those who have lost meaning in their lives or have difficulty forming or maintaining relationships.
