Welcome! My name is Dr. Alison Hoyt. I often say, most people do not go skipping with joy to talk about some of the hardest things they carry in life. I respect and value how hard change can be, and even talking about change with a stranger that you do not yet really know! It is my goal and joy to create a safe and supportive place to work through goals in therapy. I view therapy as a toolbox -one in which we will work together to learn tools to help you achieve the goals you set in therapy. Part of therapy will be learning how everyone’s mind is unique to them and understanding how your mind can be a very valuable tool.

People who seek therapy often are looking for relief from problems that they have not been able to resolve on their own. I help by providing practical solutions to change patterns of behavior or unsatisfying relationships. My approach is to work with clients to understand their experiences and their goals so that we can collaborate in the process of finding new perspectives to facilitate change.

My treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Therapy for individuals suffering from various disorders and psychological distress including but not limited to eating disorders, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ, suicidal ideation, and family issues. In addition to psychotherapy, I conduct psychological evaluations/testing, psychoeducational testing, and biopsychosocial evaluations. I conduct testing for ADHD, gifted/talented, and special education services. I provide a compassionate, holistic, and caring atmosphere in order to provide my clients a trusting and supportive therapeutic experience.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am committed to providing my clients with the support and skills they deserve in order to create a strong sense of mental health. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults and focus my work using techniques that help re-shape how we see ourselves as well as creating ideal environments for each of us to thrive.

Hello, I am glad your here! Welcome to your One Life. I would be honored to be a part. I am a Licensed Master level Clinical Social Worker and Certified Yoga Therapist. I specialize in DBT, CBT, anxiety/depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, C-PTSD, addiction recovery, and fear. I have additional certification in domestic violence and sexual assault. I also work with grief and loss, divorce and couples seeking to mend and/or reconnect. I am experienced with the 12 Step philosophy that aligns with my mindfulness-based approach to recovery. I am a Certified Yoga therapist and bring the body into somatic treatment using Yoga as therapy.

I am a a Licensed Associate Counselor with a passion for helping adolescents, teens and young adults find their strengths and develop the skills to better their lives. In counseling, I value creativity, collaboration, genuineness, and individuality. I enjoy working with clients who experience anxiety, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), or who are looking to increase their total wellbeing.
