Hey There! Welcome! My name is Carvel Seepersad. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor. I obtained my Master’s from Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2014. I received my Play Therapy Certificate from Capella University in 2017. I have worked in the substance abuse population with adults ranging in ages and stages. I have worked with adolescents and children with mental health diagnoses including ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and with Behavioral challenges.

Regardless of whether you’re trying to work through a problem, grow as a person or couple, or just need someone to listen, seeking therapy means seeking change – and I think that takes guts! No matter what we’re discussing, my focus is always on seeing your world as you see it – because I believe that real healing begins when we have a compassionate and non-judgmental space in which we can freely express ourselves and feel understood.

I am passionate about empowering my clients. I have experience working with a variety of client populations. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults. My goal is to work with clients on building a healthy sense of self-esteem. I am known for my nurturing and non-judgmental approach in counseling. I recognize that every person is unique, so I strive to provide individualized treatments that address the goals of each person.

I work with with adults and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, healthy boundaries, who are challenged with self-doubt and negative thinking, and who tend to worry and overthink. I specialize in mood regulation, mindful awareness, as well as, cross-cultural and and adjustment concerns. I work with diverse populations who represent a broad spectrum of presenting concerns. By increasing your insight, facilitating healthy communication and coping strategies, and strengthening relational skills, I will help you towards reaching your goals. We will work together to identify your goals.

My name is Gabriella Tavarez and I am a licensed social worker. I have recently graduated from Rutgers University with my MSW with a clinical specialization. I am currently working toward earning my clinical licensure. During my time at Rutgers, I have interned at a high school where I held individual sessions with the students who attend. I enjoy working with adolescent clients and feel that I can relate to them well. I have also enjoyed working with children and adults. I have had the pleasure of providing services for clients who experience depressive or anxiety-related disorders.
