I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I help children, parents, and couples overcome obstacles, improve relationships, and better their lives. Starting a family can be one of the most exciting and fulfilling experiences, but when things do not go according to plan, this can be one of the biggest struggles for parents and children. I have a passion for helping kids that are struggling to become more successful and happier in their world. I like allowing kids to express in ways that help me to understand their perspectives. We are looking for clients that are motivated to make lasting changes in their lives. Most clients are looking for a nonjudgmental listener that can competently address their presenting issues and provide skills, tools and a trusting therapeutic relationship. As human beings we all have the need to be accepted, heard and understood. Our practice is supportive in nature and our approach is based in attachment and relational psychotherapy. Essentially, we work with people we like and who want to change their lives and the way they function. We manage an interactive client portal to allow supportive communication in between sessions.

I am a therapist who has been practicing for over 20 years. I have experience with children, teens and adults. I am trained in trauma and EMDR. In addition I have worked within the foster/adopt system, anxiety, anger management, depression, and life transitions such as divorce, death etc. I start with the goals you identify, and if you don’t know where to start because you are feeling overwhelmed, we start there. Chris is passionate about co-creative and strength-based work with children and families, and believes deeply in the power of a body, mind, spirit approach to their healing process. In addition to his clinical training, he has an extremely diverse background that has assisted him in his ability to effectively connect with, support, and serve adolescents and their families. He has extensive experience as an outdoor/experiential educator, facilitator and wilderness adventure professional (w/ current Wilderness EMT certifications as a SOLO Wilderness First Responder Instructor and a level II Maine Whitewater Guide license).

Dr. Meg is a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and families. She has expertise treating interpersonal trauma using relational and psychodynamic frameworks. She offers individual, group, and family psychotherapy, as well as consultation, training, and supervision. Dr. Meg is able to provide teletherapy and assessment services to clients in PSYPACT states.

I work with adopted children and children who are in the foster care system. Treatment focuses on Attachment Theory and addresses trauma, abuse, loss, abandonment, and grief. This is a family centered approach and actively involves the child’s attachment figure(s) in treatment. I work with adolescents who are struggling with peers relationships, conflict with parents, transition issues, anxiety, stress, depression, self worth and self-esteem challenges. I also work with adults who are struggling with mood disorders, relationship difficulties, employment stress, and parenting issues.
