Jim Michaels is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in New Hampshire who has his Doctorate in Theology and has been practicing since 2011. Jim believes that every person should live their best possible lives, and at times this requires that someone walks with us to grow and flourish. Jim is trained in multiple evidence-based interventions to help others attain their goals. As a U. S. Marine, Jim understands the unique mindset that military veterans and their families face.

Dr. AJ Diamonti began his career as a classroom teacher and school administrator, before returning to school himself to train as a psychologist. He received a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling and his doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, both from Boston College, and completed his pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at Tewksbury Hospital in Massachusetts. His education and experience have included working with children, adolescents, and adults within public and private school systems, college counseling centers, and inpatient hospital settings.

Donna McDermott is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker practicing in the seacoast area of New Hampshire. She graduated from The University of New Hampshire with a masters of social work. Donna is known for providing a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate space for individuals. Donna integrates her professional training with her life experience to help others heal and grow. Her main areas of of focus include depression, anxiety, attachment, divorce and trauma. Donna specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.

As a practitioner of mindfulness who has attended many Insight Meditation retreats, I can share with you the benefits of attention from both personal and professional experience.

Nadine Thompson is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in New Hampshire who has been practicing since 1991. She earned her Master of Social Work degree, specializing in Clinical Practice, from Smith College School of Social Work. She also has post-graduate certification in Addiction counseling, multicultural practice, DBT, and Couples and Family Therapy. Nadine is committed to helping people heal themselves by providing a safe space where they can explore their challenges, restore their mental health, and create the life that they want to live.

I like to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere when you come to my office. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, pleasantly scented, and a relaxed feeling as if you were at home in your living room. I see people for individual, couples/marital, and family therapy. I treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger management, and life stage transitions such as high school/college graduation, retirement, and early exit from the workforce due to disability. My work hours are M-F from 12-8 pm, 7 pm is my last appointment time of the day. Please note, I do not see children under the age of 13.

I have been a practicing psychotherapist in Portsmouth for 25 years, specializing in depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I have also successfully helped clients struggling with trauma, OCD, anger management, prolonged grief, parenting issues, and Bi-polar Disorder. I emphasize a collaborative effort with clients and believe therapy is only successful when there is a positive relationship between the client and the clinician. I have worked with numerous clients who have needed medication at some point in their treatment. I do not rush to recommend medication, but I do work closely PCP's or psychiatrists if medication is necessary.

Becky has several years' experience helping clients dealing with trauma, work and relationships issues, health and medical challenges, depression, anxiety, and issues of loss and grief. She knows life can be hard.

Benjamin Long is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 4 years of experience in the mental health field working with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan and with varying needs. He enjoys exploring how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the different institutions and systems people engage with to identify different areas of intervention. This supports his engaging and collaborative approach that strives to bring positive, creative energies into the therapy room. Ben completed his Master of Mental Health Counseling at William James College with a concentration in Couples and Family Therapy.
