Many clients seek me out because they have experienced significant trauma that is impacting their daily lives. For couples and families, I seek to help them identify and alter the patterns in their relationships that are hindering connection and healing.

Whitney Newsome is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who has been practicing since 2017. Whitney has 11 years of various experience from prison systems, community outreach programs, complex disorders, and a desire to end the mental health stigma. Life can be odd and often we find ourselves in places that we thought we would never be. Whitney has been in her own personal therapy since she was 16 years old, same therapist along the way. She is unsure where she would be had she not taken the chance to become vulnerable. Meeting the client where they are at is the most important aspect of sustaining a therapeutic relationship.

Spandana earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Psychology from UT Dallas prior to completing her Masters program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UT Tyler. She currently is a Licensed Professional Counselor within the state of Texas. Spandana has a large amount of experience in higher levels of care, such as inpatient, IOP/PHP programs, and Substance Abuse residential. She has recently worked in other private practice settings and group practices before settling down at Taylor Counseling Group!
