My therapy style is solution focused, person-centered and holistic. I tailor my work with each client based upon each individual's specific needs, goals and interests. I do not believe that only one type of therapy will work for every client; therefore I use a blend of therapies in my work with each individual. I offer individual, family, co-parenting, play techniques, parent education and therapeutic supervised visits. My therapy office is welcoming and comfortable, which fosters the ability for individuals and families to feel safe as they explore their concerns and prepare to heal.

I help my clients find their strengths and utilize them to improve their difficulties. I focus on your experiences and preferences in therapy and rely on your feedback to provide you with the service you need. I have experience with treating interpersonal and personal difficulties. I am the owner of the Robert Jason Grant Ed.D AutPlay Therapy Clinic. I am the creator of AutPlay Therapy. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with a variety of mental health needs. Some of my specializations include addressing the needs of neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults (autism, ADHD, trauma issues, and anxiety and depression struggles). I am neurodiversity affirming and informed and provide individual, family, and group therapy. I provide in-office and telehealth services. I also offer parent training, coaching services, and various trainings for professionals and caregivers.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I believe counseling should be a supportive and compassionate collaboration in which clients are accepted where they are in the present and are valued as the experts of their experiences. Life doesn’t happen in a vacuum, and I will work closely with individuals to consider their relationship with their environments in order to explore areas of strength as well as areas for potential growth.

I enjoy working with children and adults, meeting with individuals, couples and families. Prior to joining the team at Synergy Counseling Center, I worked for a Community Health Center and an Indian Health Services Center in Alaska working across the lifespan. I approach therapy from an attachment-focused lens and believe we find healing through an integrated, wholistic approach to therapy.

I specialize in helping children and families heal from trauma, sexual abuse, physical abuse or neglect. Untreated trauma can lead to depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use.

My experience with helping individuals and families overcome difficult challenges is my passion. I believe that it easier to find and build upon one's strengths than it is to focus primarily on fixing problems. Much of my time in therapy is spent on discovering creative solutions rather than talking too long just about what is wrong. I often involve the whole family and believe that every person is unique and requires an individualized approach. One size does not fit all. I love creating a therapeutic space where people feel heard and accepted. My favorite part of my work is helping people understand themselves and their reactions so they can more fully embrace who they are. I also enjoy giving people practical tools to help them regulate their nervous system and feel less stressed. I am EMDR trained and Heart Math certified. We continue to grow in staff and services. Life is full of adventures that affect every experience we encounter. We now have four License Staff, One Master's Level Counselor, One Qualified Mental Health Professionals, a Counselors in Training, a Professional Visitation Supervisor Monitor, and a Life Coach.
