CURRENTLY I AM NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. My approach to therapy is customized based on the needs of the individual client(s) and draws upon a broad and diverse base of clinical approaches and well-established techniques while incorporating Holistic Modalities including Nutrition, Exercise, and Mindfulness. I frequently utilize Animal Assisted Therapy, so Don’t Be Surprised to see my two certified therapy dogs present at sessions! I am a Certified Master Trainer, with specialty training in Nutrition, DNA Based Wellness & Weight Management, Exercise Recovery Therapy; Life Span Wellness and Health Transformation Exercise.

We continue to grow in staff and services. Life is full of adventures that affect every experience we encounter. We now have four License Staff, One Master's Level Counselor, One Qualified Mental Health Professionals, a Counselors in Training, a Professional Visitation Supervisor Monitor, and a Life Coach. College and entrance into adulthood is hard! You’re still figuring out who you are, what you want to do, and how you want to live. Maybe you find yourself struggling with friendships or dating relationships in ways you haven’t before. Or you might feel lost and confused about your identity and who you want to be. Maybe you’re realizing, potentially for the first time, that the way you grew up isn’t “normal” and isn’t what you actually needed or wanted. So many transitions and challenges are happening and you may feel ill-equipped to deal with them. Let me help you navigate the questions and obstacles you are currently facing.

My ideal client is someone who is desiring to actively participate in therapy. Your issues, needs, and goals can be discussed in session, so you have direction during the therapeutic process. You might not know what you want or why, and that is okay. All you have to do is show up & participate. Your sessions are your time to discover the answers to those questions & hopefully piece together information to help your present-day self.

I look forward to working with clients whose life path may have created difficulties for them that has led them not be the best of who they can be. Each individual's path may have been sprinkled with physical or emotional abuse, neglect, assault, grief and loss, domestic violence, marital or parental discord or a myriad of other situations. Sometimes these life paths create in my clients a feeling of hopeless and loss of self-worth, sometimes these path end with someone needing to determine a plan to leave an unsafe living situation. Sometimes these paths lead to turning to substances and illegal drugs to cope with the internal turmoil and pain. It is my privlege to work with clients to help them identify and bring forth the best of who they are and what they want for their life, their family and their future through their own individual strengths.

Therapy is where you can say the words that aren't allowed to be said. While I see clients who are struggling with a variety of issues (depression; anxiety; relationship difficulties; and questions of meaning, purpose, and self), I specialize in working with those who have experienced religious trauma - those who have been deeply hurt by the messages they received as part of their religious experience and have not felt the freedom to tell their story. Clergy and laity alike need space to express and reflect upon their hurt, their sadness, their anger, their disappointment, and their doubts.

I believe therapy’s greatest power is providing a space safe enough for you to embrace your full experience of being human. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Counseling from Missouri State University after years of service work with youth in foster care and individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities. I also practiced as a Professional School Counselor before moving full-time into private practice.

I consider it a joy to help people meet their mental and emotional health goals. I assist clients who grapple with anxiety, depression, church/spiritual abuse, anger, relationship struggles, sex/porn addiction, trauma, and grief. Though I provide treatment to people of all faiths or none, I integrate Christian faith into the counseling process for those who appreciate that perspective. My counseling office is shame-free, where you are free to heal and be whole.

Depression, anxiety and addiction are often compatriots. They feed off each other and create a sense of hopelessness. At Restore Counseling Center, we work with clients of all ages with a range of concerns including Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Family, and related issues.
