My passion for families began earlier in my career as I had the opportunity to support families with a special needs child as their family advocate. This led me to see the importance of strengthening the family system through developing healthy communication skills, conflict resolution, trauma work and being the bridge for the family and the multiple providers that were part of their team. I don't believe there is an "ideal" client only someone that has courage to walk through the doors, share their story, and work collaboratively to find healing and joy within themselves. I love working with individuals and the family system.
As a MFT, I work with individuals, couples and families in their search for healing. I have a certificate in play therapy and love to help give a child their voice through play & help parents with the stresses of parenting. My goal whether young or old is that everyone can be true to their authentic self as we walk through the therapeutic process together.
Embarking on a therapeutic journey can be frightening and overwhelming. Developing trust with a stranger, on top of all that you are facing can cause anxiousness and doubt. This is why I will work extremely hard to make this process as welcoming and safe as possible. I welcome the opportunity to walk this journey along side you with compassion & patience.
