James spent ten years providing outpatient services where he observed that mental illness and chemical dependence issues, otherwise known as “co-occurring disorders” were low priority. My name is Ziyad Elassal. As someone who has personally experienced the challenges and consequences of addiction, I understand the turmoil you may be going through. In fact, I almost lost my life in my own battle with addiction. But with the help of an amazing counselor, I was able to break free from the chains of addiction and embark on a journey of recovery.
