Many people today, from children to adults, experience adversity in various areas of their lives that can have negative effects on their ability to be successful. Sometimes you may find it difficult to understand how to cope and respond in an appropriate way. Some coping mechanisms may look like defiance, behavior issues, depression, or anxiety. It is my goal to help you understand these adversities, your response to them, and how they affect you. I strive to help you learn strategies and find the skills you may need to navigate life and reach your fullest potential.
Counseling can be a great, safe avenue to explore emotions and discuss issues in a productive healthy manner. With children, I try to teach and explore an understanding of emotions and adversities through play, games, and activities that are age appropriate, educational, and engaging. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches for the best results.
