I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in RI & MA. I work with all clients who identify first and foremost as human; imperfect by nature, even if that is difficult to admit to self or others. My approach is unique in that it involves individual self exploration and discovery rather than diagnosis and treatment plans. My work is based on relationship building which always begins with the relationship with self. My work with children and teens has a strong family component since improving these family of origin relationships supports life long wellness in all members of the family.
My approach to counseling… helping individuals to feel better, by developing a better understanding of themselves; their thoughts, feelings, and their behaviors. I Help people to see themselves from a non-judgemental, non-critical perspective which promotes overall improved wellness. Nothing is easy but with patience, time invested in self, it is possible.
Life is a journey and it is difficult at times for all of us. That is a fact. Counseling is meant to help support you in your journey to gaining a better understanding of who you are; why you do what you do, feel what you feel, think what you think and the role you play in every relationship in your life. Emotional pain is real… please do not suffer alone.
