I believe in a person-centered approach to therapy, and aim to always hold feelings of positivity and unconditional support for my clients. I work to provide a space that is conducive to clients sharing their vulnerability without fear of judgment. My counseling style is conversational, compassionate and direct. I believe that therapy can be enjoyable at times as well, and I encourage clients to bring their authentic selves and personalities to session.
Throughout my career I have worked with various populations including: college students with disabilities, gender-diverse youth, folks struggling with mood disorder such as Depression and Anxiety, folks struggling with eating disorders, and folks looking for support in exploring their sexuality/identity.
I utilize many modalities and techniques in counseling, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT.) Together we can work towards building confidence, increasing positive coping skills, and building resiliency
