I have experience working with multiple populations including adolescents, teens, young adults, adults, and couples. Individually, my clients seek a safe space to achieve goals related to substance abuse, depression and anxiety, personality and mood disorders, suicidal ideation, self harm, and many other mental health concerns. Each client requires an individual treatment plan catered to their personal goals and life experiences. I utilize different modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in my therapeutic process.

It's been my experience that counseling from a holistic approach focuses on the core beliefs and associated behaviors contributing to the issues we struggle with daily in our lives.I approach counseling from a cognitive-behavioral perspective in that patterns of thoughts and actions are explored in order to better understand the client's problems and to develop solutions. LSU Psychological Services Center is a training clinic dedicated to providing high quality, evidence-based psychological services at an affordable rate to children and adults in the Baton Rouge and surrounding community. Our graduate student clinicians provide services under the close supervision of licensed professionals, most of whom are LSU faculty members. Services are available both in-person and via telehealth. Our clinic is open Mondays through Thursdays 8am-8pm and Fridays 8am-5pm.

I am Licensed Professional Counselor (7196) by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Licensed Professional Counselors. I graduated from Southern University and A&M College with my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2017. I conduct the therapy I provide for my clients through morals and values of the Christian faith integrated with Cognitive-Behavior Therapy. Cognitive-Behavior Therapy is defined as challenging set beliefs and replacing those beliefs with more realistic beliefs. In result, it will promote adaptive behaviors within the client.
