Life surprises us sometimes… In those moments it is helpful to have someone to come alongside us to provide genuine presence, professionalism and expertise, balanced with compassion, to help through times of transition, trauma or growth. I am passionate about offering encouragement, steps for healing and coping, insight, psychoeducation and interpretation when families are struggling to understand one another. Learning how to navigate life’s courses with sensitivity, kindness and realistic perspective can be more easily undertaken in a therapeutic forum that is accepting and direct. As your therapist, I want to help with difficulties managing relationships, life transitions, anxiety, depression, or even difficult family dynamics. I provide a totally supportive environment for you to heal when needed. My focus with you will be on finding the solutions that you want to explore to resolve conflict.

For the past 20 years, my clinical focus has been helping people ages 10 and up who have identified depression, anxiety, life transitions and family issues as sources of stress in their life that they wish to work through. My clients come to me to reduce/eliminate their symptoms and regain their own definition of ideal functioning. I also support my clients through difficult life transitions and/or family issues. Though, I am known in my community for working with adolescents/teens which I am passionate about, a significant portion of my caseload consists of adults and families who I am equally dedicated to.

I prefer to work with adults and older adolescents struggling with addictions, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and trauma. I have a vast amount of experience working in the field of trauma. Due to my experience working in community mental health, I also work well with those with intense mental health and substance abuse treatment needs. I have worked both inpatient and outpatient experiences, resulting in my flexibility to help stabilize in a crisis and to work with individuals at any level. A client who desires to accept partnership and engage in being open to change is the most ideal client.
