I provide psychological therapy which focuses on the way that people think and behave. My practice specializes in working with children/adolescents and college/post-college adults who have problems adapting to their current life circumstances. Each person brings into treatment all their experiences, both joyous and problematic, which provides a base for the development of individualized goals and objectives.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor(CADC) and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology(MCP). Much of my training has been centered in client-centered theory and I also have specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In addition to being traditionally trained, I also incorporate​ a holistic, integrated approach toward psychotherapy which includes aspects of mindfulness and Eastern philosophy, providing individual, family and couples therapy as well as intervention work.

I practice from the belief that when we are lost in the emotional weeds it is faster and less painful to have a guide who knows the weeds counsel us back to emotional stability than it is to wander in the hopes of stumbling onto a healthier path. I strive to provide counseling with warmth, peace, joy, hope, and love with God's grace by accepting who you are where you are while being mindful of your hopes and goals.”

Tim is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who has been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. He received a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University and is currently a School Social Worker of 20 years, working with middle and high school age students. In addition, Tim is a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor and a Virtual Instructional Coach for novice School Social Workers around the state of Illinois. Tim has a collaborative approach, working WITH the individual to build confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, and acceptance for the amazing differences that makes a person who they are.

Even when life is seemingly going well, our thoughts and feelings can make our days and nights a struggle. Living with mental illness or going through a challenging time can be like there is an ever-looming cloud blocking us from feeling the sun. It is my belief that therapy can help us see and feel the light again. Depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral or personality issues, and abuse & trauma can make us feel like we’re alone and without hope. Therapy can be a place where you don’t have to go through life’s struggles alone and get to learn coping strategies and solutions.

My aim is to collaborate in the process of restoration of people lives—providing compassion in order to renew hope. Thus, helping each individual and/or family I work with to experience an increasingly enriched life. I have a vast breadth of experience, but specialize in addictions, and working with teens/young adults as well as their families.

Life can be difficult and frustrating. Our lives can become messy and complicated. But there is hope. I am dedicated to walking alongside of others to help them find hope and make some sense of their life and experiences. I sincerely believe that counseling gives an individual the opportunity to experience significant growth and healing through a greater personal awareness and understanding of themselves and the world around them.

We recognize how difficult it can be to seek help with mental health issues. Our goal is to meet you where you are in a supportive, encouraging way. We never use shame as a motivator. Instead we seek to provide a balance between giving you time and space to heal and challenging and encouraging you to move forward to a healthier place. We strive to help each client understand the implications of the neuropsychological test data in each particular life situation (work, school, home). We have years of experience not only in the work of clinical neuropsychology but also in the training of others in this work.
