When children are struggling academically, socially or emotionally, sometimes it seems difficult to determine what is hindering their progress and interfering with their ability to reach their full potential. I conduct comprehensive evaluations, which provide information about a child’s strengths, weaknesses and current level of functioning. Using the testing results, I develop meaningful recommendations and suggest helpful interventions and accommodations. Through the evaluation process, my goal is to identify a child’s learning profile and determine what that child needs to be successful. I also hope to empower parents.
I received my Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the Graduate Center at CUNY and earned a Masters Degree in School Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University. Before joining Mental Wellness Montclair, I worked as an elementary school psychologist in Westchester County, New York for over fifteen years.
I work with preschool and school-age children. An evaluation for children can help to identify a specific learning disability, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, executive function deficits, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, depression and cognitive impairments.
